  1. Have you tried using gasoline? gasoline will eat the rubber of your pipes if that doesn't work call any motorcycle parts store they should be able to help you with that.Sounds like you need to get different motor cycle boots if they are leaving rubber on your pipes.
  2. Don't know if this product exists any more, but there used to be a spray-on carburetor cleaner that would melt through just about anything. (Not to be confused with the gas additive).
  3. Paint remover will break down the rubber ,then use your thumb nail to scrape it off w/o hurting the chrome. Follow up with a light chrome polish to clean residue.
  4. Go to the store and buy Easy Off oven cleaner Follow the instructiosn carefully You may need to do several applications. I had to do it 5 times but it works
  5. I had the exact same problem and I did it the cheap and easy way. I started the bike and continually rubbed the rubber, while it was getting hot, with a with a really soft cloth (an old cotton t-shirt). It came off with a little elbow grease.
  6. 0000 steel wool will take it off and not scratch the chrome.
  7. WD-40 It cleans anything off anything. http://www.wd40.com/
