Torque and Chrome

How can I clean up my chrome rims?

I have a 1982 Mercedes 300TD, and I am planning on redoing the thing. I really like the original rims, as they have the mercedes logo on them, but they look horrible. I looked into rechroming, but it seems that that costs anywhere from $300-$400, which to me is unreasonable. Are there any tricks to make that old chrome shine? I mean 300-400 bucks per wheel

  2. chrome polish
  3. non alcoholic glass cleaner and a soft rag will definitely work i did it to my rims
  4. according to here http://www.wd40.co.uk/index.cfm?articleid=743 crome can be cleaned with WD40
  5. mothers polish and buff it...if it's chipped or rusting, then no polish is going to fix it....that's when you'll need to have them replated. $300-$400 for all 4 wheels is VERY cheap, which means it'll be a cheap chrome job.
