Torque and Chrome

I would like to put chrome rims on my 99 Grand AM SE?

Currently I have hubcaps on my 99 grand am se. I would like to put chrome rims on it, however, I do not know what is the biggest size tire or rims I can use. Can you please help me? Thank you for any information!

1. ive put 20s on mine with no mods. not sure of the tire size

I would suggest 17 X 7, the bolt pattern is easy to match, but you must have experts look at their computers for offset, fit etc. You're usually okay, because you don't have large brakes, and just drums on the rear. For ride comfort, don't get a total performance tire, they are noisy, I like touring, and no less than a 50 series or it will ride like a skateboard.
3. I would put 18's on the vehicle, there very nice and pretty cheap usually because everyone wants 20's or bigger. Also since the tires can be a little thicker you have less worry when hitting bumps. I know that from personal experience. I have a red 99 with those awful hubcaps until i got the rims.
