Torque and Chrome

what do you guys think of the (non-brand)name TORQUE WRENCH CLICKER? is it a good item or no?

is there any risk on the car?,seller say its a life time Warranty and Exceeds Federal Spec. GGG-W00686C...so what do you think? thank you for your time

  1. usually i go with a big name because of life time warranty. ( used life time warranty quite a few times) I would say it should be fine if it has a life time warranty.
  2. I would be doubtful about any no name precision tool. That design is OK for general use as long as it is calibrated before use and re calibrated at regular intervals (if used constantly). The most accurate torque wrench is the dual signal type.
  3. Most of the Brand Name units are more accurate as well as being stronger and more reliable.
  4. I wouldn't trust it to build engines with. The cheap clickers are never right. If you want a good torque wrench you can trust for a cheaper priced by a craftsman beam type wrench. It's not as "cool" as a clicker, but it will be dead on... I use a $25 craftsman beam, and a $200 snap on clicker.. My craftsman beam is with in 1 ft lbs of the snap on at 65 ft lbs. My uncle has a cheap clicker from harbor freight tools I think.. We put it against mine and that P.O.S was 10 ft. lbs off at 65 ft lbs.
