Torque and Chrome

How do you set a click type torque wrench to the correct setting and what do the numbers 0 - 12 mean?

I know you twist the handle to the correct setting but the numbers on the handle part that rotates are a mystery to me

1. The 0-12 are inch pounds. 12 inch lbs equals l foot lb.
2. that is the torque setting dial, you have to pull the handle back and set it on the torque setting,,, good luck
