Where can I find parts, accessories for my standard motorcycle?

I just bought my first bike, mind you Im just getting into the sport, and its a 250. And I would like to accessorize, put a windshield on, etc...But its very hard to find anything to fit a "standard" motorcycle. Any Help out there?
