When using a torque wrench, how will the torque change with a 6" extension?
what percentage of torque will be lost??

- the amount of loss is negligible... I assume you are speaking of a 6 inch socket extension and not a handle extension
- I'm going to assume, the extension mentioned is not going to change the length of the torque wrench, i.e. a standard 3/8 or 1/2 drive extension. It won't change it at all....unless you are generating enough torque to actually twist the extension....highly unlikely in an automotive application.
- An extension does not consume torque. As long as you keep the extension in line with the bolt, the wrench should read correctly.
- It will make no difference
