Dropped torque wrench, is it still going to be accurate?
I have a torque wrench, the one that has a long arm like a pendulum that hows how much torque is used, and havent been really careful with it. Like putting it down a little hard and stuff like that. Is still going to be accurate? This is not for the torque wrench that you set and it clicks btw

- pendulum torque wrenches are very sturdy don't worry. check accuracy periodically.
- It depends on how hard you dropped it. But torque wrenches like that style depend on a twisting force on the wrench. Those style are actually able to withstand more 'abuse' than the clicking style. So, you should be good.
- It will be close enough. If your are working on something that you really need to torque you may want to invest in a little nicer wrench.
- Those torque wrenches are never that accurate. It just gives you a ballpark figure, it is not really a precision form of measuring torque. That is why when you look a torque specs., it gives a measurement like 80ft.lbs +- 5 or even +-10. I wouldn't worry about it. It is not like you are building a motor where precision is called for.
- hey Roo---no big deal but don't bend the head using it for a strong arm.. don't bend the shaft the pointer is on ...
- ASK YOUR LOCAL TOOL SUPPLIER FOR CALIBRATION , IT COULD BE OFF
