2009 Harley Davidson Models Knowledge Base
Who has a 2009 Harley-Davidson Touring bike? How is it? I would like opinions especially from people who have ridden 2008 and earlier models. I sat on a 2009 RoadKing and could not sit flat footed. I never had this problem on ANY Harley before. -- Oh and please, if u ride a sportbike and make negative comments, Ride safe. Ninebadthings; read the question again. Do you HAVE a 2009 Harley Touring Bike? You're obviously not as intellectually superior as you are trying to be. Ride safe. Dummy.
What did the average Harley Davidson Motorcycle cost in 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999, & 2009? I know there are all kinds of models, I just want to know an average price, or better yet if you bought one during any of those years, please let me know. I have searched all over the internet and all I get are ads from ppl selling them today, I want to know what the average person paid for a basic bare boned Harley in 1969, 1979,1989, 1999 and 2009. I don't care the model, probably just a modest one, like a soft tail or something like that, nothing tricked out or all chromed up. I am doing a story board for a Harley Davidson themed 40th party for my DH and it is going to be held August 23, 2009, so hopefully someone can help me...

Who sells the fairings for Harley Davidsons as seen in Sturgis 2009? We went to the huge extravaganza in Rapid City, SD during Sturgis of 2009 held at the Harley Davidson store located there. There was a company there that made fairings that are detachable...I believe they ran about $1500 depending on the model. At the time they did not have ones to fit the HD Street Bob, however they thought they would be out in approx. 6-7 months. I am looking for the name of this company. Any help would be appreciated...Thank you!!!

I'm considering buying one this spring, Is this a nice bike? Please don't respond with the whole "Harley's suck, buy a sport bike" crap. I got rid of my Ducati last year, I'm not really wanting another impractical rocket... I'm 5'5 so I'm not really looking for a huge harley either... I just want an in town/weekend rider.
Which of these Harleys should I trade my old cycle in on? The Harley NIGHTSTER http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/2009_Motorcycles/2009_Motorcycles.jsp?locale=en_US&#/model/xl1200n or The Harley ROCKER http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/2009_Motorcycles/2009_Motorcycles.jsp?locale=en_US&#/model/fxcw
Should I go with a Japanese bike or an American bike? I'm going to be buying a new 2008 or 2009 model motorcycle. I don't want to have a very fast bike, I was looking for a cruiser or some type of smaller bike, since I am a new rider and young girl (22 years old). I want a bike that's going to last, and that I won't outgrow (I don't know how into this hobby I'm going to be, but I can assure you that I don't lust for speed and I could probably be very content with a 250cc). My biggest question is should I go Japanese or American? I'm thinking about purchasing a Harley Davidson 883, or a Yamaha V Star Custom/Classic. If you have any suggestions as to which brand I should go with, please state any experience you may have, as well as why you feel so strongly about either one. Thank you so much. You are making a great difference.
Could GM change the truck they use in the Craftsman Truck Series if they choose to bring this beast back? http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/2011/chevrolet/elcamino/elcaminohans.html http://www.leftlanenews.com/el-camino-to-return.html I don't believe it, but the more I look into it, the more I think it's going to happen. The El Camino could be making its return to the GM line in the United States for sale as soon as 2009, or as late as 2011. Is this just a creative way to lose money? or do you think GM will have success in bringin' back the El Camino? I have always loved El Caminos.. they had there distinct uglier models as well, but I still ALWAYS wanted one as a kid growing up. (I also had the notion I'd have a Harley Davidson to put in the back lol).... Anyways, Just wanted everyone elses input on if they think this venture would sink or swim for GM? AND... If it did happen, could GM use the El Camino in the Craftsman Truck Series? It's considered a truck... I think

Is this the begining of the end or will the US gov pull them back from the verge of extinction? News is that Both BUELL and Harley Davidson have agreed to cease production of bikes from October through to January.. Claiming a world wide slump in the demand for motorbikes....? Why then are the major 4 and Triumph as well as Ducati announcing new models and expansion further into the US market... Will the US gov intervene and bail HD /BUELL out of the recession; or will they fold? http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/General-news/2009/September/sep1109-Buell-shuts-down-production-lines-as-sales-drop/?WT.dcsvid=SilverpopMailing&WT.mc_id=MCN%20Newsletter%2015sep09%20(1)
Whats the name/model of this motorcycle? the one that Jax Teller rides in the Sons of Anarchy TV show? Here is a couple of the best images I could find: >> http://www.ugo.com/therush/images/articles/jackson-jax-teller-137/main.jpg >> http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/show-patrol/assets_c/2009/12/soa-bike-thumb-200x175-38492.jpg (Notice the very straight handlebar in the second image, this is the reason I like the bike so much but its also why I'm struggling to identify it, maybe the straight handlebar is a one-off custom feature. I dunno! Any guesses?) I think this could be a full side image of it but I can't tell if this has a straight handlebar or not: http://www.livebyit.com/wp-content/uploads/harley%20davidson%20dyna%20glide%20sport.jpg Of course I know its a Harley Davidson but I've no idea which model it is. Any ideas?
