Chrome Rims on SUVs/Trucks/Cars..Ricers? i dont under stand what the point is of putting chrome rims on SUVs. Getting outside black car trim black again? The frames around the windows and the front grill of my car are black plastic or metal (not chrome or silver). Clean title, Local service records since bought new in '70 in Murfreesboro. Body is solid with no through rust only surface that will sand off. 307 matching numbers motor. All it needs is paint and body work. Motor was stripped to bare metal and machined. Replaced heads with 350 heads. Added 350 turbo transmission with a B&M shift kit and new stall converter. Motor has new cam and cam kit installed, edelbrock high performance intake, Edelbrock 650 CFM carb w/ manual choke. Edelbrock signature series chrome valve covers, breather cover, and timing chain cover. New alternator. Also some small chrome accents like thermostat housing. Has dual exhaust with 40 series flowmasters that sound great. Tires and rims are new. Rims are Appliance brand bought originally many years ago and stored in the boxes and are like new. Factory mono leaf springs were changed with quad springs from a 1978 Camaro and shackles changed to lift the back slightly from factory height. I have brand new bumpers front and rear, chrome grill, front bumper insert and parking light covers for front bumper to fix front and rear of car. Interior is in great shape no cracks on dash and door panels and rear seat are perfect. Front seat needs upholstry or replacment. I also have the original power glide transmisssion that I may include for the right price or sell separately. Let me know if you have any questions. Ok which car might fits me better ? I`m tring to decide what car is right for me I`m in the luxury car buying this year my wife and I are looking for and luxury suv in we came across a 2010 Lincoln Navigator that price was $ 65,000 fully loaded that is nice and a true name too the luxury market, but this truck ride great but it feels big and slow when driving it and the chrome grill dosen`t look that great for and over priced vehicle. The other vehicle was a 2010 Cadillac Escalade and the price was $73,000 well equipped with 22inch factory wheels over Lincoln Navigator 20 inch. But the Escalade even has more horsepower than Lincoln 310 hp so we finally threw paying for our 2004 nissan maxima we bought brand new in 2005 so we needs something more bigger which one you well get, because were gettin one monday.

My car stalled at a stop light, I was rear ended - whose fault? This afternoon I was stopped at an intersection with no vehicles in front of me. When the light turned green, my sandal jammed in the clutch and I stalled. My vehicle had not moved from its stopped position at all prior to its stalling. I realize that in some cases, a stalled vehicle can be attributed to unskilled driving, etc. However, I'm thinking I should not be at fault since it wasn't a sudden stop - I'd simply not proceeded through the light immediately. This is in NY state. Just hoping for some reassurance! I'm the one who suffered the most damage (to the car, and I had to go to the ER for my neck) - but the other vehicle is worth far more and wound up with quite a dent in the chrome grill (it was a nice looking 2007 chevy truck). Do you suspect there might be something wrong with this car? I need your opinions!? Okay so I just turned 17 and I would like to buy a car someday. I really like mustangs, but I cannot afford the insurance on a GT because of my age. Well, at this used car lot, theres this white 99-00 mustang V6. The body was SPRAY PAINTED along the front bumper, fenders, side skirts (the strip below the doors), and the back bumper along with the hood scoop and the wheels are spray painted. Its spray painted like this navy blue color and its very tacky. It has a GT bumper with the stock exhaust pipe hanging out of the back. It looks like the previous owner took out a dual exhaust and put the stock back on. The headlights and breaklights are these aftermarket ones, they're like a chrome insert with these round shaped lights in them. The drivers side tire was flat also. I found this out when I stopped to look at it one day. I have been eyeing it up for over a year now. Its been sitting there for probably more than 13 months. I know that it runs because there always moving it around in different spots. One day it'll be parked on one side, and another day i'll ride by and see it parked somewhere else. The problem is, the car lot has all these older cars and there all sorta junky. Theres like 4 other mustangs in the lot but there older. I looked at one of them and it was missing a grill. Do you think theres something wrong with the car because its been sitting there for so long? Like maybe transmission problems or something? I had this idea that maybe if it ran good if I test drove it, then maybe I could buy it and fix it up. You know, take off the fenders and bumpers and sand them down and spray paint them white to match the car. Then buy a new dual exhaust system and a new set of tires. The car lot is right on a main street but its kinda buried because theres a bigger and better car lot next to it. It also looks very tacky. They have all these old cars parked around the building and stuff. The building itself looks like noones around because theres no signs or nothing. Those other mustangs have been sitting there just as long. The money to fix it up would probably run me about 800 bucks. If it could hold up for a few years if I bought it, then I'd say its not money wasted of what I put into it. Although, that depends on how much they want for it. Another thing, the interior on it looked great inside. The seats werent ripped and looked average.

Front grill 2003 Infiniti M45? I just had some minor body work (mostly just paint on the fenders and one front quarter panel) done on my 2003 M45 (23k miles). When I went to pick up the car, I noticed the front grill appeared speckled. I asked if the car's panels had been sandblasted or if something had been sprayed that would have pitted the grill and the body shop manager said that was just pitting from road dust that must have accumulated over time and I never noticed before. There are a few small chips in the actual chrome but this grill is a composite material painted over, and that part looks about 20 years old now, completely speckled and chipped wildly (and completely uniformly, not more on the bottom and less as you go higher). Is this normal for a car with so few miles? Did I just never notice it before? I'm skeptical. The air bag has to be reset, too, I noticed, so I figured they disconnected the air bag (they denied doing it), but they're sending the car out to a Nissan place to reset the air bag)

How much is my salvaged car worth?? I have a 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320 SE with 116K miles. I was hit in front had to replace the radiator, headlights, hood, and grill. Should I dispute this following too closely citation? A pissed off friend of mine decided it would be mature to slam the breaks and cause a car accident. He was driving at just over 2 car lengths (his back end was aligned with the end of the passing sidewalk whereas I was just passing the sidewalk on the other side) and then hit the breaks, even managed to lift his back tires off the ground somehow. I slammed my breaks however 85 Eldorado's don't stop very fast and I hit him. We were both going 30 mph and when I actually hit him I was about a foot off from being able to do a complete stop. His truck took out my chromed plastic grill that was protruding out a few inches however I was stopped before the bumpers collided. I had three whitenesses in the car with me and all of them testified however the officer still nailed me with a following too closely citation. How do I dispute it? Will I even have a chance or is it simply unprovable? Is it irrelevant that he stopped hard enough to life his back tires off the road and that I had come to a complete stop before any my lights would have been hit? It actually only hit the chromed plastic grill and even so much as having 4-5 inches more room would have been sufficient.

Which model of 1977 Chevy Camaro do i have?? Well, i own a 1977 chevy camaro. I know for sure it is not a Z28 because it doesnt have the Z28 logo on the grill or on the side. Its not the LT model because it doesnt have the LT logo on the side. But where im stumped is because my car has chrome trim along the side and above the windows. I've done a ton of searching on the internet but i cant figure out the specific model that has the chrome trim on the side. I know the trim is originally on there because we bought it from a dealership. Is it just me, or do YOU think modern saloon cars have suddenly become REALLY ugly? During the nineties and until a few years ago, I thought car designs were getting more and more sleek,sporty, and attractive. Even small, economy saloons looked great. Then, a few years ago they introduced chrome (not used since the '70s),then came chromey light clusters which look like something off a xmas tree, and now the whole design of cars looks bloody awful - boxy and ugly with hideous radiator grills like yawning crocodiles. Have car designers suddenly gone blind? As cars in the US are a bit different from the rest of the world designwise, I'm really talking about European and Japanese cars. Funny - these days you never see Detroit cars in UK - pity, I used to love them! That small Peugot, can't remember the model - it's very popular, smallish family saloon -really sleek. I hate the latest model, they've ruined it, and below the bumper they've put this huge CHROMEY grill!

"i have a 2000 ford mustang. blue in color, v6 & a automatic. it has light damage in the front bumper due to all of the holes & hills. The front bumper was cracked when i got the car & the pecies that are chiped were barely hanging then. How much would you pay for this truck? The truck is a 2006 purchased mid 2005, it is a Nissan Titan 5.6L SE and was purchased brand new. The truck is going on 3 years old and only has 18,440mi on it, it has an after market custom billet grill, flow master exhaust (cat back, 2” pipe with a 3” tip, very loud) and after market ION off-road black on chrome rims. The interior is near perfect with only a little “wear and tare” near the steering wheel controls, and next to the shifter, speaking of which is has full stereo controls on the steering wheel, 6 disc in dash CD player, after market Rockford Fosgate component speakers ($400), automatic control captain’s chair (drive side only). It is also the model with the shifter instead of the steering wheel shift (see photo below). The exterior of the truck is kept in almost mint condition, I wash and wax the car twice a month there are a few little tiny scratches and one super small ding on the passenger door (parking structures…what can you do?). The truck also comes with back-up censors on the rear bumper it has a temperature gauge inside the truck which also tells you which direction you are heading. Kelly Blue Book tells me the truck is worth only $14k which I think is a little low considering at going on 3 years old it only has the miles of a 1 year old car and has been kept in extremely good condition, not to mention all of the after market enhancements. Or would you buy this sort of truck private party? If so, what would you be willing to pay? Couple of side notes, it's already my truck I'm looking to sell it within a year or so, another is that only 4x4 trucks are meant to off road in. A 2x4 which is what I own is only meant to be driven around town, etc. One more thing, a lift on a truck is the worst thing you can do to id, after time the weight of the truck sitting on your shocks, axles, and suspension, ruins all of those things making you replace your "lift" every 2-6 years, not worth it if you ask me.

In the darkness of night the colorful lights of the carnival could be seen flashing and pulsating from a mile away. Once within the gate music and screams mingled from the thrill rides, where there were the blaring, screaming people on the roller coasters, laughing, cheerful groups of people having excitement at the games, and the pink and sky blue feathery cotton candy stand. This was a very different scene from the outside of the massive, dazzling carnival. Out of the carnival, was a country-like area where it was stretched with enormous farms, with horses, dried tumble weed colored gates, and it seemed so bare and plain. Meanwhile, we were at the long, stretched line for the roller coasters. As we waited in the ticket line to ride the roller coaster our bravado gave way to a quiet anxiety. People talked uncertainly about how nervous they were and weather or not they should go on it or not; one of the girl who had gotten of the ride had eyes were huge and wide her face was ghostly-white, her long dark saddle brown hair was all ruined from all the ups and downs of the roller coaster. The line got closer to the bright, fire engine red pole where we had to measure our heights. Too quickly we flopped on red benches with shiny chrome safety bars which dazzled from the reflection of myriad lights. As the loud, bleary voice came on the speaker about how to ride safely, the ride started to shake and move steadily. There was a knot in my stomach, as our car started to go up slowly…suddenly, the roller coaster came down so fast, the wind hit my face hard. The seat shook as we moved forward and ever upwards until we crossed that vertical threshold and began to fall in wild acceleration, wind tearing at our faces, jolts of adrenalin forced gleeful screams from our lips, hurtling up, down, sideways--all the while trying to breath through the overload of excitement. Suddenly, it was over. After that was over, we headed over that the food court, where it was so crowded it felt like there was no room. Smells competed for our money: pink and blue, feathery cotton candy melted with juicy sweetness on my tongue while the scent of light brown, greasy corndogs and pizza demanded my attention. A girl near us who was wearing a bright fuchsia shirt was holding multi-colored balloons that shined brightly in the night sky. Another boy was munching on the deep fried orange red hot dog while trying to eat his pizza at the same time. The hot dog was in a shade of deep red with the black lines from the grill on it. Everyone around us was all having a good time, eating, having fun, and talking to friends.
