Harley Davidson Sportster Grips!? I just got grips from my harley off the net yesterday. They have not made it to my house yet, but by looking at the picture i don't see a place for the throttle cables anywhere on either one of the grips. Here is a link to the picture, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harley-Davidson-Sportster-Dyna-Softail-CHROME-GRIPS-/390323525737?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5ae1185869. Sorry if link does not work. Is it possible that they are just slip on. If so, do i just cut the rubber off the throttle side?? Im confused. I have never put grips on myself just been reading and watching videos, but i can not find anything that helps me with my question.
Goldwing vs Harley...? Preface... I own an 06 Suzuki Hayabusa and an 04 Harley Dyna Low Rider. The Hayabusa is stock (except slip on pipes and a radar detector). The Dyna has a stage 2 kit (1550cc) and tons of chrome. Just got back from Sturgis and was thinking of dumpi9ng the Dyna for a Goldwing. Why? The Dyna UTTERLY sux on the highway above 75mph, has no bag space, no tunes and is COMPLETELY underpowered. Also, I have about 25k in the Harley and 11k in the busa (with all my gear). So, to my questions... Which would you get? I am very disillusioned with Harley. Contrary to what many people think they DO NOT hold value and are antiquated. I was considering a Ultra Classic and the bike would be roughly $34k (with a 110 SE upgrade) and accessories I would want. I can get a Goldwing for about $20K-22K with everything I would want. Plus, the Goldwing has more options/accessories that Harley simply doesnt offer (ie Reverse, GPS/Nav system, More horsepower, seat and hand warmers, etc...) So, for touring with the wife, what bike do you think makes more sense? All, Just wanted to thank everyone who posted for not tryin to flame this question. I was going for good feedback and thats what I got :) I went to Sturgis early to beat the crowds. We went to every major site and had a really good time while not having to deal with crowds :) As far as the Harley, I looked into the Ultra Classic and it does NOT have nearly the amount of amenities that the Goldwing does. Again, more power, better seats, independant driver/passenger heat controls, leg warmers, MUCH better sound system w/4 speakers instead of 2, reverse, more storage space, build in NAV and GPS, etc... I compared the top of the line Harley and it did not have any of the things I mentioned..?
