Impact Wrench? I'm purchasing a new impact wrench soon but I don't know what specifics to look for. Like, Amps, torque, etc. Electric or hydraulic, I'm confused as to what I need. Any Mechanics in here, that can give me some base numbers for specs on this tool? I'll be using it for my car.
What tools would you recommend buying? i have multiple tool Boxes including a bottom and top chest. I have torxs bits, allen keys hydraulic floor jack, a grease gun, a torque wrench and a full set of screw drivers, pliers, punches, wrenches, impact gun, hack saw, Multi meter, a complete set of 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch sockets, and an assortment of hammers. my problem is im wondering what else anyone recommends me buy, if i work on small engines and occasional cars. thanks for any help.

How to tighten a 4" nut to 4000 ft/lbs? Most high end torque wrenches only go up to like 800 ft/lbs max. Plus I don't think they make a socket big enough to fit on the nut anyways. The blue print specifically says they want it at 4000 ft/lbs. I'm thinking you would need a wrench with like a 10 ft+ bar on it. Is there even a tool in existence or do you need like a special hydraulic machine? This is a test fixture for aerospace. Not sure of the specific application because its a government related job and they don't supply us with the test parts.
