They looked really fake even if I would have seen the car a distance away. I would have rather seen the car with just plain black steel wheels instead, but that's just me. Is there a way to get black paint off of painted wheels? The car that I bought a while ago has the wheels painted black. I really want them to just be normal silver (not chrome) wheels. Is there a way to get the paint off or do the wheels have to be painted the silver color? Can you use sandpaper to get chrome off wheels? I have an opportunity to get some nice rims very cheap on account of they are in bad condition with chrome flaking off. I want to take off the chrome and repaint them (probably with wheel paint from a can). I've read you can sandblast the chrome off or remove it chemically but I'm wondering if you can just get some wet sandpaper and rub it off by hand gradually increasing the grain till smooth. I know it doesn't sound easy but it does sound simple (not to mention cheap). Is this possible? Can I get good results this way?

95 chevy tahoe rusted fenders-cheap fender flares? ok I have a 95 tahoe and the fenders have rust holes around the chrome wheel trim. I want to cover the rust with fender flares. New wheels for Nissan Altima Coupe? I just got a brand new Nissan Altima Coupe in the dark slate gray metallic. It looks really good with the chrome exhaust tips and stuff for a stock car. Did I make a dumb mistake? My car was getting ready to break down so I had to get a new one. However, instead of buying something practical and cheap I went and spent $22,500 on a 06 Lexus IS250 with 18" chrome wheels and a spoiler included. I could have used this money on getting top and bottom veneers for my teeth. When you were younger or even now, what car or truck was your absolute favorite? I've been a mini motor head since my teens. Raced powder puff on dirt tracks and drag raced at a strip down by Cincinnati. In the lat 60's and early 70's it was some what intimidating seeing a girl show up to drag race but after beating a couple of guys that openly ridiculed me a bond happened. What were favorite vehicles owned by you and why? What vehicle was your least favorite? My favorite was a 1969 Cevy SS with a huge engine (gas was so cheap in 71) I also owned a 67 Pontiac Lemans with a decent engine, traded up to the Chevy SS. 1950 Ford short bed pick up in baby blue with wide tires and nice chrome wheels. Didn't race that one though. My least favorite was a 70 Dodge Charger with the hidden headlights. Those darn things malfunctioned all the time. It didn't have a huge horsepower engine but sounded a whole lot faster than it was. Every darn time I came to a stop light, some guy would want to race. Just shook my head no. That was in 74 and married that year. That husband didn't like racing so I hung it up. Even though I'm older, would still love to strap on a helmet and give it a go down that quarter mile strip one more time. Strange Brew....wow I bow and give you respect friend. Considered myself fearless in my teens and early 20's but saw too many friends get hurt in Demolation Derbys. What aftermarket mods make a ZX3 look better? I just bought a well taken care charcoal gray 04' ZX3 from a minister. I'm looking for tasteful ideas on how to make it more stylish. No body kits as I want a refined tone-downed look and I'm not looking to race. So far I'm considering projected halogen headlights.(Like Mazda lights). I think they would give the car a updated look but I haven't seen any in person. They cost $100, but I think they would add resale value unlike many other mods. I am in the process of buying a new car and turning in a lease. I assumed that when I turned in the lease and? they did the appraisal that they were assessing if there was any excess wear and tear at that point in time. Then comes time to sign and I get this paper that says I agree to be sent a bill when GMAC finally comes to the dealership to go over my vehicle should they find any issues. QUESTION ABOUT SHOCKS ON CAR! PLS HELP? So i have a isuzu axiom 2003. I got it checked up earlier the day at ken towery's and at first they said it will only cost me 79 dollars each, but then later they realized its a different kind of shock i need and they have to actually order it directly from isuzu and it cost 189 each for front and 99 each for rear. Do you think its cheaper somewhere else? Anyway, the problem is i dont have the money to get it fixed ryt now. And they said it wont be safe to drive it, i'm really worried. Can i get away with driving it for a month or so without any further damage? And also the car is paid off, i've had caskets replaced, brake pads, and tires and now the shocks. I'm tired of having all these problems come up every 2 months. It has 72,000 mileage. Would you guys suggest to trade this car in or just get the shocks fixed since its paid off already. I really dont want another car and have to pay monthly for it again. Should I get my aluminum rims chrome painted? I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I the finishing on my rims is coming off. I was going to originally just going to get all new rims but then my parents said it might be cheaper to just get them powder-coated. Cheap muffler tip for my truck? I have a pretty sweet white f-150 that i recently put new mamba wheels on and installed $1000 worth of sub-woofers and other sound stuff in. I was thinking of the weight per revolution etc. 2'nd Can I use "say" a different computer from a corvette or ss, again, thinking of the fuel maps/timing etc. I Don't mean to sound dumb but I do not know so here I am asking. Finally If so, what other cars/trucks use the LS6 Intake that I can buy from a salvage yard. I was hoping can use another pulley that's smaller for my under-drive crank pulley. Thing Is, a friend of mine used different crank pulley from I think a GM truck, but not sure. Last, other then the free mods, which Ive already done, Is there anything else I can do to net more hp. Full exhaust Is already done, not to sure of the gear ratio but I ran a 13:10@ 112 mph. Do roller rockers make Improvements? and can I get them from other engine like a silverado or so, do they have a better lift&duration, same goes with a camshaft. Thank you very much. Severe Rust..? What would be the best thing to do with some chrome parts that are severely rusted, I mean well beyond cleaning up!! Without buying new ones.. Parts like the exhausts, fenders, levers, wheels etc. I was looking at nickel plating or electroplating? Is this suitable for these kind of things? Is it cheap or costly? What kind of prep. would i have to do before as i doubt they would have them in the state they are in but im not sure? I need help with my truck!!!!!!!!? I have a 98 silverado ls z71 4x4 ext. cab short bed it has a 3in body lift and I want to put 33x12.50x15 bfg ta ko tires on it and 15x8 wheels. My first question is will this rub? My second question is more of a problem I like the mickey thompson classic locker wheels but I don't like the price if anybody knows of an off brand that would be cheaper that would be great. I would like polished aluminum or chrome but I would settle for black powder coat. Also is the paint in herculiner a good enough bedliner to last me for a good 5 years or should I go for the spray in bedliner. Pontiac Rally 2 center caps? I'm having a hell of a time finding the stock center caps with just the pontiac symbol...and the ones i do find, like on YearOne are like $80 a pop...and the PMD ones are a little cheaper i see...maybe like $40? But is there a good universal or american racing center cap i can get for my wheels that wont cost a ton? These are early-mid 70's rally 2's on a 79 Trans Am. I'd like some chrome or polished aluminum ones if possible.

looking for a NEW crossover SUV any advice? Open to new suggestions.? I drive 3 hours a day to & from work in addition to social activities. so comfort is a major issue for my neck & back ache. I also need cargo room since I cart around lots of boxes & rolling files so I need a bit more than just a compact car's trunk. I've test driven a few already, but just can't decide. Honda's CR-V seats not so comfy inside. center console was kind of a little cheap looking, but still like it. Honda Pilot loved it's comfort. so much room and really comfy seats. BUT to me, it didn't look like a new car compared to the others. there was no chrome or anything to make it pop out or say new car. Toyota's RAV4 comfy and roomy, but really didn't care for the wheel on the back. Highlander a bit too soccer Mom for me, but nice car. Nissan's Murano Great looking car, but have read some negative things about it online. Hmm... FYI: no kids/carseats ok, so now how about my back pain...any advice about that LOL j/k Thank you

How to Personalize a Fancy Car? I'm 20 and just got a Chrysler 300!! and I love it!! It's a Silver one with black interior(cloth seats), with a lil chrome It is a fancy car compared to chevy cobalts and ford focuses... cars like that I don't want it to look cheap on the inside by adding things like fuzzy dice... what could I buy to put in my car to personalize it and make it look like a girl's car??? How to "theme" my car for Cheap? I have a chrome black 1998 Pontiac. I want to have the "Dark Knight" Theme (Why so Serious?) for cheap. I have a sticker on the back of my car that says why so serious. What else could I do to enhance the look for decent $$$? I only have about $100 to spend right now. Give me some ideas. I want upgrade my car a bit (interior), a 2009 Malibu LTZ, where can I do this? Can I take it to the actual GM dealer where I bought it or do I have to take it somewhere else? My father bought me a 2009 Chevy Malibu for my 16th birthday. Its a really sharp looking car. Its gold with chrome doorhandles/ window trim. The inside has a dual color (brown/light brown) interior, like on the seats. Anyway, I find it kind of shabby that other mid sized sedans in the price range, being the fully loaded models have real wooden trim and navigation systems/ DVD players on the head rests. I want to switch out the cheap (fake) thin strip of wooden trim for actual wooden trim... like on the doors, around the radio/air conditioning settings and around the gear stick. How much would this cost? I want to upgrade my entertainment system, like screens in the head seats and a touch screen navigation system. I like road tripping to our beach home in Georgia with my friends, but I opted out of taking my car after the first time and went with my dad's SUV because of this. I don't understand why the Impala (only a few thousand dollars more than mine) has wooden interior and mine doesn't. I chose the Malibu over the Impala because I think it looks much better. It's really sharp on the outside and everything. I just don't get why I have to deal with crappy plastic trim. The steering wheel and gear stick are made of leather, but they're surrounded by crappy plastic. Anyway, thanks for any help :)

where can people sell there bikes&how much do you think i can get for mine? i have a CUSTOM FLY PANTERA bmx bike with all different parts on it frame- fly pantera forks- fly pantera handlebars- stolen tall boy headset- fsa integrated back rim- chrome 48h alex back rim with a 12t cog front rim- all black but not to sure what brand cranks- profile lite 3 piece pedals- odyssey sealed chainwheel- 30t animal lite v2 stem- stolen frontload alloy seat- stolen M-boss tires- odyssey aitken seat clamp- shadow brake lever- odyssey monolever brakes-diatech hombre fiesta grips- doesnt have any at the moment brake cable- doesnt have one at the moment the bike has a pearl coffee brown/light blue and white color scheme.. i built the bike from scratch..put alot of money into it..these parts are NOT cheap at all....only reason im trying to get rid of it is because im looking for a fresh new bike 2 get on and do a couple tricks on..my bike has not been exposed to rain and it is kept indoors..there arent really any dents or anything like that just little tiny scratches here and there..its veryyy light..only real problem is that the rear wheel hub needs to be tightened and thats not really a problem if you know how to tighten it yourself..if you dont then it will probably cost you around 10-15$ at your local bike shop..my frame alone is worth 320$
