Do the tire pressure sensors in the tire ruin custom chrome wheels? I need to know if the tire pressure sensor in the tire ruins chrome,cuz my rims are looking like crap i have tundra and the truck looks great but the rims are getting a little beat up.Can anybody give my some help full information.

I had my brake pads and rotors replaced I went to put my wheels back on and now the car won't move because the calipers don't clear. I had to put my stock/OEM wheels back on. I paid over $2000 for these wheels and want them back on my car. Is this common after a brake job? The mechanic and the tire and wheel dealer both told me two let the brake pads wear down or get spacers. Help me understand what happen.

Has anyone had trouble putting custom wheels on a Toyota Highlander? I have a 2005 Toyota Highlander, and I want to put chrome wheels on it. I ordered some from a website that are supposed to fit a Highlander, but the wheel studs are too short, by the time you add a spacer and the rim, the lug nuts only thread on 3 turns. Help. Please! How much more is a used car worth with custom wheels? We are looking to sale our 2003 Acura MDX. We can't find what any private parties are asking in our area (Oregon) but dealers are asking for about $16,500 for comparable MDXs. Ours has 20" boss chrome wheels (retails around $2000) and we just replaced all 4 tires with $150 all terrain tires last month. Has anyone had experience with warped rotors on custom after market wheels? Have an '02 Dyna with aftermarket wheels and rotors. Have had 3 new rotors on the front wheel. Manufacturer has been real good about standing behind its product. sited a chrome process inperfection causing a high point on the hub. About a year later the warping shows up again. Another new rotor. And now both front and back rotors are warped. I figure it time to get a refund. But I am in need of a solution or a helpful answer. Could there be a flaw in the hubs again? Or??

Why are peoples general perception of cars so ghetto nowadays? I don't get rich people sometimes. Every time I watch MTV cribs and other crap like that, the celebrity is bragging about their Lexus SUV with 25in spinners or something just as pathetically similar. I just think that putting spinners on any type of car or truck is the most ridiculously dis tasteful excuse for a worth while modification since the beginning of time! Don't give me wrong, I think that custom chrome wheels look great on almost anything. But why do they have to disproportionately throw of the vehicles natural beauty with their obnoxious size? 1999 V6 Mustang Custom? im 17 yo.girl and im looking at this mustang; i love it, it has a custom paint job/ its between a candy apple red but it has streaks of black through out ive never seen a color like this its absolutely gorgeous.. it has a custom body kit & 20" wheels and chrome..its in very good condition. no scratches or dents or anything. I saw all of them, they are all in good condition, a few if any scratches, clean carfax history (all) and smooth and it seems reliable. Will I ever get street credit with a 2005 Jeep Liberty? What should I get instead? I bought a Jeep Liberty way before I realized it would become the soccer mom vehicle of the 2000s. I love the vehicle for what I can use it for and do with it (camping, off-roading, store my skis inside the vehicle, throw the rear seats down and sleep in it) but I operate in a sales position where looks can mean so much. Should I: -try to add chrome and wheels and lift kit or custom paint to make it feel more "macho" ... but it still is a Liberty. -Buy a different Jeep. -Recommend me a different vehicle altogether?

The BMW is an 02 black/black loaded with all options and is custom as well...22" black/chrome Asanti wheels, 3 tv's, M series body kit, smoked lights, etc. As for the S500, it is an 01 silver, with an ash grey interior, AMG sports package. The crazy thing is that it is optioned like an S600 with heated/cooled/massage seats and rear reclining seats. BTW the 745i has heated/ac/massage seats in the front and heated seats in the rear. Anyhow thought to add some additional details about the cars to let you decide and help me out. I will pick a best answer. What was your favorite car from the 80's? Describe how you wanted it!? I absolutely LOVED the1989 Ford Mustang GT convertible. I wanted one soooo bad for graduation, but it didn't work out that way. Mine would have been black with a green pearl, with magnum wheels, a chrome package, and a body kit. The mustangs on the doors would have had to be custom ordered and made because I wanted hot pink . I would have had the windows tinted and the convertible top would be leather. The interior would have been tan leather with soft pink accents throughout and a kick a$$ sound system. should i buy this 1983 cutlass supreme or no? ? its a 1983 cutlass supreme for $3500 with a rebuilt 1978 firebird 403 v8 engine and trans in it with alot of edlebrock parts like carb,valve covers,headers,etc and has a real chrome exhaust system from the engine to the back,custom gauges that work but need to just be screwed up to the dash,no radio,its leaking from the trans cooler lines where they meet a lil bit,check engine light is on,and needs the valve cover gaskets replaced and oil pan gasket from what i know of. it comes with a fresh paint job that was done in july of 08 and 22" used wheels that were drivin in the winter time and one of the rims has about a 2" chrome peel on it. also has new springs and shocks and brakes all around. here is the link to the car: http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/988092511.html also has a cut off switch and alarm with remote.

Rims - Weight ratings (what dealer says vs common sense)? I was given a set of aluminum 8 lug rims that are 16.5" x 12" for my 1989 Chevy Suburban R2500. The rims are identical to the ones in the link below, except they are just bright aluminum rather than chromed. Any ways, there is a sticker on in rims that say "max load 2000lbs". This is where I am concerned, the Suburban I have is a 3/4-ton, however it is a HD model and according to vehicle scales it weighs 10,436lbs. It was a custom ordered vehicle with a one ton frame and rear end and massive suspension, if you do the math and distribute 10K lbs to 4 wheels, that exceeds what the rims state they are limited to. Now I know there is more weight on the front than the rear, but it still comes out as exceeding what the manufacturer says. Yet every tire dealership I have been to says it doesn't make any difference and it's safe to use these tims on this truck. How much would you pay for this truck? The truck is a 2006 purchased mid 2005, it is a Nissan Titan 5.6L SE and was purchased brand new. The truck is going on 3 years old and only has 18,440mi on it, it has an after market custom billet grill, flow master exhaust (cat back, 2” pipe with a 3” tip, very loud) and after market ION off-road black on chrome rims. The interior is near perfect with only a little “wear and tare” near the steering wheel controls, and next to the shifter, speaking of which is has full stereo controls on the steering wheel, 6 disc in dash CD player, after market Rockford Fosgate component speakers ($400), automatic control captain’s chair (drive side only). It is also the model with the shifter instead of the steering wheel shift (see photo below). The exterior of the truck is kept in almost mint condition, I wash and wax the car twice a month there are a few little tiny scratches and one super small ding on the passenger door (parking structures…what can you do?). The truck also comes with back-up censors on the rear bumper it has a temperature gauge inside the truck which also tells you which direction you are heading. Kelly Blue Book tells me the truck is worth only $14k which I think is a little low considering at going on 3 years old it only has the miles of a 1 year old car and has been kept in extremely good condition, not to mention all of the after market enhancements.
